3 police officers have been suspended due to a security lapse during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Jharkhand

Three policemen, including ASI Abu Zafar, constable Chotelal Tudu, and constable Ranjan Kumar, were suspended for a security lapse during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Ranchi.

The incident occurred when a woman unexpectedly ran in front of PM’s convoy on its way to Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Park-cum-Freedom Fighter Museum on Wednesday morning. The woman, identified as Sangita Jha, was immediately caught by security forces and taken into custody.

Jha, reportedly upset with her husband, wanted to lodge a complaint against him. The suspension followed PM Modi’s two-day visit to Jharkhand on the occasion of the birth anniversary of tribal icon Birsa Munda.

During interrogation, Sangita Jha, the woman who breached security during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Ranchi, revealed details about her marital dispute. She stated that she married a man in Jamuni village, Jharkhand, in 2012, and a dispute began in 2016. The conflict was over her desire for her husband’s salary to be credited to her bank account.

In October, she went to Delhi for 10 days to meet the Prime Minister and, failing that, attempted to meet the President. Disheartened, she returned to her in-laws’ house in Deoghar, the SSP stated. Jha attempted to meet PM Modi during the roadshow on Tuesday night and also visited Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. Her sudden appearance in front of the PM’s convoy led to her immediate apprehension by security forces.

The incident occurred during the PM’s two-day visit to Jharkhand, where he paid tribute to tribal icon Birsa Munda, launched a development project for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups, and inaugurated various initiatives.
