Amethi: Some unidentified miscreants was attacked on the Congress party office in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday midnight. The miscreants vandalised several vehicles parked outside and fled after creating a ruckus, following which party workers staged a protest.
After the incident, Congress District President Pradeep Singhal reached the party office. As soon as information received, CO City Mayank Dwivedi along with a heavy police force reached the spot and tried to pacify the protesting party workers.
About this attack, Congress party said,”Smriti Irani and BJP workers are very scared in Amethi, UP. BJP goons, enraged by the defeat they are seeing, reached outside the Congress office in Amethi armed with sticks and vandalised the vehicles parked there. A deadly attack has also been made on Congress workers and people of Amethi. Many people are badly injured in this attack. Vehicles of local people were also damaged during the incident. The police administration stood as a mute spectator during this entire incident. This incident is a witness that BJP is going to lose badly in Amethi.”

Dwivedi, CO of the City, has assured that the matter will be investigated and action will be taken against those responsible for the incident. After this incident, Police force has been deployed at the incident site.
