Andhra Pradesh: 35-year-old man dies after speeding SUV hits bike, drives with his body on roof for 18km

An incident took place in Andhra Pradesh where the driver ran away after driving the car for 18 km while keeping the body of the biker lying on top of the car.

Anantpur: A 35-year-old man was killed in head-on collision occurred between the car and the bike, and the body of the bike rider fell on top of the car. But the car driver did not notice it and ran away after traveling 18 km without stopping the car, which took place in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. The incident took place around 8 pm on Sunday night. The police received a call from an informant that a dead body was found on a moving Toyota Innova car.

Immediately the officials located the vehicle and identified the deceased as Yarriswamy who was driving the bike. Police officials said that efforts are on to nab him. A case of murder has been registered and further investigation has been started.

Seeing the body on his car, other motorists on the road alerted him. The horrific incident took place in Atmakuru mandal of Anantapur district on Sunday (April 14) night. Jinne Erriswamy (35) of Cholasamudra village in Kuderu mandal of Ananthapura district works as a tractor mechanic and supports his family. A few years ago, he was married to Manju from P Siddrampur of Atmakur mandal. They have a son and a daughter. This couple living in Anantapur was living a comfortable life.

On Sunday night, Erriswamy went to Attarinti in Siddaramapur on a two-wheeler on personal errands and returned to Anantapur around 9.30 pm. While entering the national highway near Y Kottapalli, the Innova car, which was going towards Kalyanadurga, suddenly collided with a two-wheeler. Due to this, Erriswamy fell on the car and died.

The car driver, who was already drunk, did not notice this and drove the car towards Kalyandurga. After traveling for 18 km, other motorists noticed the person lying on the car at Honeymireddipalli in Belaguppa mandal and stopped the car and informed the driver.

The driver left the car on the side of the road and ran away. Locals immediately informed the police. The police reached the spot, recovered the body and started investigation. The car was identified as belonging to Bangalore. Eyewitnesses said that the driver was drunk. A case has been registered and police are investigating.
