Assam: The police said that Three youths from the same village tragically died and one injured in a car accident at Kaliabor in the Nagaon district of Assam on Thursday night. After receiving information about this incident, local people and police reached on the spot.
According to the information, three were identified as Arjun Toti, Amrit Biswas, and Rahul Biswas. The police said that they were driving towards Misamari when the Mahindra Verito, registered there under the license plate ‘AS-12J-6909’, went out of control and fell into a ditch beside the four-lane highway.
Nagaon Superintendent of Police Nabaneet Mahanta said there were four people in the vehicle, including the driver. He further said that the cause of the collision is believed to be due to heavy fog, due to which the motorist was unable to see properly. Sadly, all three of them died instantly.
SP said that two of died on the spot and two other admitted to the hospital. In one of them which admitted to the hospital died during the treatment. He said all of them aged between 25-30 and residents of the Kaliabor area of Nagaon district.
After the incident, police said that they were informed the family members of the deceased. According to the information, family members said that the incident took place because of dense fog. The official said that they were investigating the matter. He added the cause of the incident is yet not to be ascertained.
