Atishi: AAP’s Stand Against Injustice Amid Kejriwal’s Arrest, No Holi Celebration

As the nation revels in the festive spirit of Holi, leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) stand firm in their protest against the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Delhi Minister and AAP leader Atishi declared on Monday that they would abstain from Holi celebrations this year, calling for solidarity in combating cruelty and injustice.

AAP’s Stand Against Injustice Amid Kejriwal’s Arrest – No Holi Celebration. “Holi embodies the triumph of good over evil, of justice over cruelty. Today, every AAP leader is engaged in this battle against evil, cruelty, and injustice. This year, we have decided not to partake in the festivities,” Atishi conveyed in a statement.

Implicitly criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly undermining democracy, Atishi emphasized, “The ruthless dictator has incarcerated our beloved Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Their relentless efforts to erode democracy from our country are evident. I implore all of you to join us in this fight against cruelty and evil.”

She underscored the rally’s broader purpose, stating, “This rally is not just to support Arvind Kejriwal but to safeguard democracy. Opposition leaders are being targeted and incarcerated. Sitting chief ministers are being jailed before elections. Our democratic values are under threat.”

Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge condemned Kejriwal’s arrest as a ploy to weaken opposition forces ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The developments surrounding Kejriwal’s detention underscore a broader concern for the preservation of democracy in India, Atishi asserted, urging citizens to unite in defense of constitutional principles.
