As the anticipation builds for the grand consecration of the Ram Temple on January 22, Ayodhya’s railway station is undergoing a remarkable transformation ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled inauguration later this week. The revamped station boasts refurbished platforms, modern amenities, and a distinctive touch of Hindu mythology.

New signboards, escalators, lifts, and captivating murals of Lord Ram painted on walls are just a few features contributing to the station’s enhanced appearance.

Tourists, like Purshottam from Delhi, express awe at the station’s new-age amenities and its infusion of Hindu mythology into its overall design. Purshottam notes, “It seems we have arrived at an airport and not a railway station. This station not only has modern amenities but also a touch of Hindu mythology.”

Ayodhya Railway Station Revamp Ahead of Temple Inauguration. Scheduled to arrive on December 30, ahead of the consecration ceremony, Prime Minister Modi will witness the transformed railway station. Ramnarayan Das Ji Maharaj, a visiting seer in Ayodhya, appreciates the station’s redesign, emphasizing that Lord Ram desired a well-revamped station to facilitate devotees visiting the grand temple.

Swami Sai Prasad Saraswati from Thiruvananthapuram adds, “Ayodhya is beautiful, and people are arriving in the city in droves ahead of the consecration ceremony.”

The redevelopment occurs in two phases, with the near-completed first phase focusing on platform area development. The second phase will witness the construction of a new station building, featuring additional facilities such as lavatories, dormitories, ticketing, and circulating areas.

Nitish Kumar, the district magistrate of Ayodhya, reveals that the railway station, with a circulation capacity of 50,000-60,000 people, is poised for the second phase of development. The ongoing efforts reflect a commitment to not only enhance the station’s functionality but also create an aesthetic and spiritual experience for passengers and visitors alike.
