Bengaluru: Serial collision on airport road involving multiple vehicles causes massive cars pile-up; No injuries

Bengaluru: In a major accident, a series of collision on the busy Bengaluru airport road involving multiple vehicles has caused a massive car pile-up near the Doddajala area. Images and videos doing rounds on social media show cars, dented at the front and back, piled one after the other. The incident occurred on the Chikkajala Flyover on Monday evening because of the low visibility on the road.

According to several reports, no major injuries or casualties were reported in the accident involving these cars. The vehicles, however, suffered dents as can be seen in the video. Upon learning of the pile-up, Chikkajala traffic police swiftly reached the location and helped clear the jam.

Following the occurrence, the authorities acted promptly to support those involved in the accident as well as clear the jam. The accident occurred when the driver of a Maruti Omni vehicle applied brakes in order to slow down and change lanes, but soon, several cars crashed into each other one after another, according to a report in Deccan Herald.

Meanwhile, Indian drugmaker Biocon Ltd founder-chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw also shared the video of the accident on X (formerly Twitter). “One bad driver can cause a pile-up,” she wrote.
