Bihar CM Nitish Kumar announces new team of JDU’s national office-bearers, KC Tyagi made political advisor

Bihar: President Nitish Kumar on Saturday announced a new team of party national office bearers in which several Lok Sabha MPs have been relieved of their organizational posts and KC Tyagi has been made political advisor.

Bihar: On Saturday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced a new team of party national office bearers in which several Lok Sabha MPs have been relieved of their organizational posts and KC Tyagi has been made political advisor.

Rajya Sabha member Vashishtha Narayan Singh has been made the vice-chairman who will replace Mangani Lal Mandal. Mandal is now one of the 11 general secretaries in the organization. The outgoing team consisted of 22 general secretaries and was formed by then party president Lalan Singh.

Among the leaders who have been removed from the post of general secretary are senior Uttar Pradesh leaders Dhananjay Singh and Harshvardhan Singh. Party sources said that five Lok Sabha members have been inducted to focus on the upcoming general elections.

Tyagi was the first Special Advisor. He has become one of the party’s two spokespersons along with Rajiv Ranjan. Bihar Minister Sanjay Jha, Rajya Sabha Member Ram Nath Thakur, Ali Ashraf Fatmi and Afaq Ahmed Khan have been retained as General Secretary. Nitish Kumar was elected party president last month.
