BJP Leader Anil Vij Feels Estranged Within His Own Party

Anil Vij, a former Haryana Home Minister and BJP leader, expressed feelings of estrangement within his own party during a public rally in Ambala. Without naming anyone directly, he remarked, “Maana kuch logo ne mujhe meri hi party mein begana bana diya hai, parantu kayee baar begane apno say bhi zyada kaam kar jaate hai” (Some people have made me a stranger in my own party, but sometimes strangers do more work than those we consider our own).

Vij’s exclusion from the cabinet in the recent reshuffle led to discontent within the state party unit. He did not attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet and left the Legislature Party meeting prematurely.

The appointment of Nayab Singh Saini as the new State BJP chief and the replacement of Manohar Lal Khattar as Chief Minister just ahead of the Lok Sabha polls marked significant changes within the party. Despite this, Vij was not included in the new cabinet, which saw the induction of several new faces.

The absence of Anil Vij from the revamped cabinet highlighted internal dynamics and hinted at underlying tensions within the party hierarchy.
