The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the names of the candidates for the post of Mayor, Municipality, Nagar Panchayat President for the body elections.

Lucknow: BJP has released the list of candidates for UP civic elections today. Even on Saturday, the candidates for the post of Mayor, Municipality, Nagar Panchayat President could not be declared in the BJP, due to National President JP Nadda being out of Delhi, the names were discussed late at night. The names of all the candidates were declared on Sunday.

BJP has released the list of candidates for the districts of Awadh region. Under this, a list of candidates for Municipal Councils of Ambedkar Nagar, Ayodhya and Barabanki has been issued. BJP has also released the names of its candidates for Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation and Meerut Municipal Corporation. BJP has released the list of its candidates from 100 wards of Ghaziabad.

Rajkumar Chauhan from Baghpat, Manjulata Jain from Sardhan seat from Meerut and Akhil Kumar Kaushik from Mawana have been nominated for the post of Municipal President.

According to BJP officials, now it has become clear from which society the ticket will be given. At the same time, National President JP Nadda put the final stamp on the ticket for the post of mayor.

Voting will be held on 4 and 11 May

Let us inform that the body elections in UP will be held in two phases. Voting will be done for the first phase on May 4 while for the second phase on May 11. The results will be declared after counting on May 13. During this, elections will be held for 760 municipal bodies and mayors will be elected in 17 municipal corporations. Apart from this, 544 Nagar Panchayat elections will be held and 199 Nagar Palika Parishad elections will be held.

The mandals where voting will take place in the first phase (May 4) include Saharanpur, Moradabad, Agra, Jhansi, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Devipatan, Gorakhpur, Varanasi. The mandals where voting will take place in the second phase (May 11) include Meerut, Bareilly, Aligarh, Kanpur, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, Basti, Azamgarh and Mirzapur.
