CBI to interrogate ex-J&K Governor Satyapal Malik, notice sent in insurance scam

New Delhi: CBI summons former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik in insurance scam. Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik has given information about this. He said that the CBI wants to inquire about the case reported by me. According to the information received, the Central Investigation Agency has asked the former governor to appear at his Akbar Road guesthouse on April 27 and 28.

In fact, the Central Investigation Agency had registered a case regarding irregularities in two projects in Jammu and Kashmir. In this case, the CBI has summoned him. Regarding this matter, former Governor Malik had claimed that he was offered Rs 300 crore to sign two files.

In fact, Satya Pal Malik, former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and current Governor of Meghalaya, had claimed that he was offered a bribe of Rs 300 crore when he was the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. The offer was to be made in lieu of clearing two files on ‘Ambani’ and ‘person affiliated with RSS’, but he called off the deal.

Along with this, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that at that time the PM had told him not to compromise with corruption. The Jammu and Kashmir administration had recommended to the central government to get his claim investigated by the CBI. Which has now been approved by the Central Government.

On October 17, 2021, in a program in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, Satyapal Malik had said, ‘After going to Kashmir, two files came to me. One was Ambani’s file and the other was of a person associated with the RSS who was a minister in the previous coalition government of Mehbooba Mufti and BJP. He was also very close to PM Modi.

I was informed by the secretaries that there was a scam in it and then I canceled both the deals in turn. The secretaries told me that Rs 150 crore each would be given for both the files. But, I told them that I have come with five kurta-pyjama and will leave with only that.
