Indian Navy provides medical aid to Iranian fishing vessel carrying 20 Pakistani crew members

Indian Navy Help Irani Ship : While guarding the ocean, the Indian Navy is also helping other countries by becoming an angel. The Indian Navy team is providing necessary help in every situation as soon as information is received, sometimes from pirates in the Arabian Sea and sometimes in medical emergencies. This time, the Indian Navy, responding to an emergency call, provided immediate medical help to an Iranian fishing vessel carrying 20 Pakistani crew members. One crew member was completely drowned.

According to reports, the Navy issued a statement on Saturday (4 May 2024) saying that while immediately responding to an emergency call, INS Sumedha, deployed on anti-piracy mission in the Arabian Sea, provided critical medical assistance to an Iranian ship. There were 20 Pakistani crew on board this ship.

The ship’s boarding team and medical specialists boarded the fishing vessel and provided medical assistance to the crew member, the statement said.

The Spokesperson stated, “In a swift response to a distress call, #INSSumedha, mission deployed for #antipiracy ops in the #ArabianSea provided critical medical assistance to an Iranian FV (with 20 Pakistani crew), for a near drowning case of one of its crew member.”

Help provided on 30 April

The Navy said that patrolling ship INS Sumedha provided this help on April 30. Then FV Al Rahmani was stopped in the early hours after the information. One of our team of medical experts boarded the Iranian ship and provided immediate medical assistance to a crew member. He was having difficulty breathing. After some time he regained consciousness. The Air Force has said in its statement that the Indian Navy units deployed in the Arabian Sea are a symbol of its strong commitment towards the safety and assistance of sailors operating in the region.
