Delhi: Suspicious bag spotted at Connaught Place, area cordoned off, security agencies rush to spot

New Delhi: On Saturday afternoon, An unattended bag was found in N Block of iconic Connaught Place of Delhi. After receiving information about this incident a Delhi Police team, fire department officials and a bomb disposal squad were present on the spot.

The area was cordoned off after the incident and security was tightened. According to reports, nothing suspicious has been found but a search is underway.

Connaught Place is one of the most visited, posh and popular markets of Delhi, which houses famous brands and food shops. It is a major hub for people to visit.

Giving more information about this case, Delhi Police said that an unclaimed bag was examined in N Block of Connaught Place on Saturday afternoon. Nothing suspicious was found inside it. Whose bag is this? This thing is being investigated. Recently, bomb rumours were received in about 200 schools in Delhi. Schools were closed after receiving the bomb rumours.
