China boycotted the G20 meeting to be held in Srinagar.

The G-20 meeting is to be held in Srinagar from 22 to 24 May. China has refused to join it on Saturday.

China boycotted the G20 meeting to be held in Srinagar.

China:India is the host of the G20 summit to be held this year. In such a situation, all the meetings related to the G20 summit will be held in India only. Under this, a meeting of the Tourism Working Group of G20 will be held next week from 22 to 24 May. This meeting will be organized in Srinagar and all the member countries of G20 have been invited to attend this meeting. But even before this meeting, one member country has refused to attend this meeting. The G20 member country which has refused to attend the meeting of this Tourism Working Group is none other than China. China has boycotted this meeting to be held in Srinagar. In a regular press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said that ‘China firmly opposes holding any type of G20 meeting on the disputed territory. We will not attend such meetings.
There has been a standoff between India and China in eastern Ladakh for three years. In June 2020, bilateral relations came under severe strain following a fierce clash in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh. India has said that bilateral relations cannot be normal until there is peace in the border area. Earlier, Pakistan has also been opposing the G-20 meeting from the beginning.
