Punjab: On Sunday,an official said that a damaged China-made drone along with a packet of heroin recovered by Border Security Force (BSF) troops in Tarn Taran district of Punjab. The recovered drone has been identified as China-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic.
In a statement, BSF said,”On May 4, 2024, at about 10:00 am, while performing duty ahead of border fence in border area of Tarn Taran district, alert BSF troops noticed something suspicious in a cut field, which on approach turned out to be a drone with a packet of suspected heroin.”
BSF recovered the drone from a cut field near Kalash village in the border area of Tarn Taran district, according to officials. The BSF said, “The drone was immediately seized along with 01 packet of suspected heroin (total weight- 416 grams) wrapped with yellow adhesive tape. The recovery took place in a cut field near Kalash village in Tarn Taran district.”
The BSF further said, “Strict vigilance of conscientious BSF jawans once again led to successful recovery of a consignment of narcotics along with a drone, which was meant to be smuggled into the country from across the border.”
