Beijing: China’s first home-made passenger plane C919 made its first commercial flight on Sunday morning. The aircraft took off on its maiden voyage at 10.30 am on Sunday from Shanghai Hongqi Ao Airport. This is considered a big achievement for the neighboring country China. It is believed that after the success of this aircraft, China’s dependence on companies like Airbus and Boeing will help in reducing and they will also get challenged in the market.

In its first flight, this plane of China Eastern Airlines took off with 130 passengers. The landing of the aircraft will be at the international airport of the capital Beijing. According to the website of the airlines company, this aircraft will land in Beijing around 1.10 pm. The smile was clearly visible on the face of the passenger traveling for the first time in the plane.

Chinese media CCTV reported that the passengers boarding the plane on its first flight had received red boarding passes. Along with this, in memory of the flight, they will also be served a scrumptious meal which will be based on the theme related to the aircraft.

This aircraft has been manufactured by a state-owned company in China. The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Comac) has delivered its first jet to China Eastern Airlines by manufacturing the aircraft. This aircraft has been mainly designed to compete with Airbus and Boeing.

The capacity of the aircraft is to carry 150 to 192 passengers, but the first flight started with only 130 passengers. This first indigenous passenger aircraft of China has gone through testing for five years. After this today it has flown with passengers. Let us tell you that C919 has been manufactured in China but most of its parts have come from outside. Even the engine has been imported from outside.
