Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President JP Nadda also extended their best wishes to the state on this milestone. PM Modi highlighted the progress made by Uttar Pradesh in the last seven years and expressed confidence that the state would play a leading role in India’s journey towards development.

Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day, observed on January 24 each year, commemorates the renaming of the United Province to Uttar Pradesh on January 24, 1950. The celebrations, which now span from January 24 to February 4, include various events, exhibitions, and cultural programs across Lucknow, Delhi, and Noida. The festivities showcase the state’s rich heritage and craftsmanship, with products exhibited under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative and Shilpotsav organized in all districts. The celebrations also encompass cultural programs promoting the ethos of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ (One India, Best India).
