Congress warns Sachin Pilot against going on fast today, calls the move an “anti-party activity”

New Delhi: The tension between Sachin Pilot and the Congress has again come to the fore in Rajasthan. Pilot has announced to go on hunger strike at the martyr’s memorial in Jaipur on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Congress in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has also raised questions on the pilot’s fast. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa objected to Sachin Pilot’s method by tweeting. He said that if the pilot had any problem, he would have talked. His fasting like this is against the interests of the party.

Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said- ‘Sachin Pilot was Deputy CM for 1.25 years, then why didn’t he raise the issue of corruption? He never talked about corruption in meeting me. Instead of talking on the party platform, it is wrong to sit on fast directly.

‘I’m in touch with the pilot’
Releasing a statement on Sachin Pilot’s fast to be held on April 11, Randhawa said, ‘Sachin Pilot’s one day fast is against the interests of the party. This is anti party activity. If he had any problem with his government, he should have raised it in the party forum instead of the media. I am AICC incharge for five months. But the pilot never discussed these problems with me. I am in touch with her and am still appealing to her to speak politely as she is an asset of the Congress party.

‘Congress fighting against corruption’
Reminding Pilot, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said, ‘Congress is fighting against corruption. Sachin Pilot should have spoken to me. I would talk to CM Gehlot. If no action was taken even after that, then Pilot had the right to fast, but instead of keeping the issue in the party, he directly chose the path of fast, which is not right.

Why Congress leader holding fast?
Sachin Pilot said in a press conference on Sunday that if action is not taken in the corruption case in Rajasthan, he will go on a fast against the Gehlot government. He said that along with the Khan scam against former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, no action was taken on the Lalit Modi scandal. Our government has not taken firm action against corruption.
