Dehradun: Over 70 rescued in massive fire at Laxman Chowk after multiple gas cylinders explosion

Dehradun: A massive fire broke out in Dehradun’s Laxman Chowk following the explosion of multiple gas cylinders on Monday. The occurrence occurred in the Khurbura colony when 8 to 10 small gas cylinders were engulfed in fire, leading to the destruction of all possessions within the locality.

The fire department successfully extinguished the fire, preventing any loss of life, although some children were reported to have sustained burns. Before the fire was brought under control, about 70 residents were rescued amidst the ensuing chaos.

Despite the efforts, the fire ravaged not only the house where it originated but also affected neighbouring homes, leaving nothing but ashes in the vicinity impacting several people.
