New Delhi: An official said that a 25-year-old man was found hanging from the ceiling of a hotel room in Paharganj, central Delhi on Thursday. After receiving information about this incident local police reached on the spot.
Police said that the body was found in PK Hotel, which suspect it be a case of suicide as the room was shut from inside. An official said that no suicide note was recovered from the body.
According to police information, the person was identified as Mohammad Qasim. He lived with his family in east Delhi’s Indira Vihar area. They said that the father of Qasim works in a plastic pipe manufacturing factory.
The officer said Qasim had on Wednesday told his family that he was going to meet his friend butc reached the hotel. He added that he stayed in the room and asked the staff to wake him up at 6 am.
The police officer said that when the staff came to wake him up next morning, there was no response from inside. After this, They then informed the police and fire brigade, who broke open the door and found Qasim hanging from a noose. The matter is being investigated.
