Delhi: 3 teenagers drown while bathing in Munak canal near Rohini

New Delhi: An official said that three teenagers were died while bathing in the Munak canal near the Haiderpur water treatment plant in Rohini area of Delhi. The deceased teenagers had gone to the Monak canal for a bath.

New Delhi: An official said that three teenagers were died while bathing in the Munak canal near the Haiderpur water treatment plant in Rohini area of Delhi. The deceased teenagers had gone to the Monak canal for a bath.

According to the police,a Police Control Room call received a distressed call at KNK Marg police station regarding the drowning of the three boys. A passerby informed the police about the drowning incident around 3 pm on Wednesday.

After receiving information about this incident, local police, along with the fire brigade and teams from the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) rushed to the spot. Despite rescue efforts, the boys remained unresponsive and were later declared dead on arrival at Dr BSA Hospital in Rohini.

Initial investigation revealed that the victims were minors and residents of Bhalswa Dairy. The three had entered the canal to take a bath, leading to their death. Police said that the bodies were preserved in the mortuary for the post-mortem examination. Officials have launched further investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
