New Delhi: An early hours of Wednesday morning, police said that three minors were part of a group that stabbed a man multiple times and dragged him across the road until he took his last breath in Badarapur area of Delhi. According to the information, all five accused have been arrested.
The man identified as Gaurav. DCP South East Rajesh Dev said that he was a resident of Gautampuri, was stabbed 25 times around 2:30 am. He was later declared dead.
According to South East District Police officials, the murder took place around 2 am in the sensational incident. The deceased and the accused knew each other earlier. The accused were spotted fleeing the crime scene by cops patrolling the area and three of them were chased down. Two others were arrested later.
People present at the spot say that the accused stabbed the victim 25 to 30 times. Mr Dev said that two head constables saw them attacking the victim and when he tried to run away they chased him with the help of another police team, which stopped him from the other side. Two of them were teenagers.
The police then identified two other people, one of whom was a minor, and arrested them. Citing their preliminary investigation, the police said that the accused had attacked Gaurav with a sharp object after an argument, but the motive behind the stabbing is not yet known. His body has been sent to AIIMS mortuary for post-mortem.
