In a significant development, Delhi Police cracked down on a child trafficking ring in Nangloi, resulting in the rescue of two babies. Acting on a tip-off near Sonia Hospital, a swift response from the Nangloi police station led to the interception of the suspects, including one carrying a baby girl. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Jimmy Chiram disclosed, “The group had procured the baby girl from Punjab, attempting to sell her in Uttar Pradesh. However, failing to find a buyer, they brought her to Delhi for sale, resulting in their arrest.”

Further investigation uncovered another distressing revelation. The suspects admitted to selling another baby girl, about three months old, in Chandigarh for approximately ₹2.5 lakhs. Prompt action by law enforcement led to the rescue of the child from a couple in Chandigarh.

This proactive intervention not only dismantled a child trafficking operation but also ensured the safety and well-being of innocent children.
