Hyderabad: In yet another chilling dog attack, a one-year-old child was killed in an attack by stray dogs on Thursday at Sama Enclave, Shamshabad municipality under the jurisdiction of Shamshabad RGIA police station, sources reported. The incident occurred when the child’s family members were sleeping in their hut. A pack of six stray dogs mauled the child to death, reports said. After the tragic incident, the boy’s father lodged a complaint with the police.
The child’s family is a resident of Devarakadara in Mahabubnagar district. Shamshabad civic body took action on Friday after the incident and deployed dog catchers to catch the stray dogs.

A teenage boy was injured by stray dogs in Manikonda area of Hyderabad, just five days ago and his mother, who came to his rescue, was also injured. In Dilsukhnagar area of Hyderabad, another boy was injured by a stray dog in December 2023.
A six-year-old boy was injured in a stray dog attack near Nandi Musalaiguda, which falls under Bahadurpura police station limits.
