The vote counting for the 2023 assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Telangana began at 8 am on Sunday, marked by stringent security measures. According to early trends reported by TV channels, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is taking the lead in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, while the Congress is ahead in Chhattisgarh and Telangana.

These elections are considered a crucial prelude to the mega final in 2024, with the results anticipated to influence the political landscape leading up to the Lok Sabha elections.

The Congress, currently in power in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, is in a direct contest with the BJP, which governs Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), led by K Chandrashekhar Rao, aims for a hat-trick in Telangana.

Pollsters have varying predictions, with some exit polls favoring the BJP in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, while suggesting an advantage for the Congress in Telangana and Chhattisgarh.

The vote counting is taking place with high security for 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 90 seats in Chhattisgarh, 119 seats in Telangana, and 199 seats in Rajasthan. Mizoram’s counting is scheduled for Monday, as polling on one seat in Rajasthan was postponed due to a candidate’s death.

Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election Results 2023:

The counting for 230 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh is underway at 52 district headquarters. Notable candidates include Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his predecessor and rival Kamal Nath. The election is predominantly a bipolar battle between the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress.

Rajasthan Assembly Election Results 2023:

Vote counting for the November 25 assembly elections in Rajasthan is taking place at 36 centers across the state. Over 1,800 candidates are in the fray for 199 seats, where power has alternated between Congress and BJP over the past three decades.

Chhattisgarh Assembly Election Results 2023:

Tight security measures are in place across all counting centers in Chhattisgarh’s 33 districts. Chief Electoral Officer Reena Baba Saheb Kangale highlighted the deployment of personnel for a smooth counting process. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Deputy Chief Minister TS Singh Deo from Congress, along with former CM Raman Singh of BJP, are among the 1,181 candidates in the fray.

Telangana Assembly Election Results 2023:

A total of 2,290 contestants, including BRS supremo Chandrasekhar Rao, are in the fray for the Telangana elections. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is contesting from two segments – Gajwel and Kamareddy. The BRS, Congress, BJP, and Janasena are key players in this electoral landscape, contributing to several triangular contests in various segments.
