Earthquake tremors in California, US, measured 5.5 on the Richter scale

New Delhi: Earthquake tremors have been felt in California, USA. According to USGS, these tremors have occurred in Petrolia, California. The intensity of the earthquake has been recorded at 5.5 on the Richter scale.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 10 kilometers deep inside the ground.According to USGS, this earthquake occurred 108km west of Petrolia. The tremors were felt on May 22 at 00:14:01 local time.

Earlier, there were strong tremors of earthquake on Solomon Islands. According to the National Center for Seismology, the intensity of this earthquake in Honiara was measured at 6.1 on the Richter scale. These tremors took place at 9.15 pm on 21st May. Its center was 80 kilometers deep inside the ground.
