Finance Company’s PRO Robbed of ₹65,000 in Broad Daylight

Maharajganj:Despite tight security measures for the Lok Sabha elections, an unsettling incident occurred on Tuesday when assailants on bikes assaulted and robbed the PRO of a finance company on the Aurahiya-Adbarhwa road in the Paniyara area. The nearby villagers attempted to intervene, but the culprits managed to escape towards Muzuri. The brazen robbery sent shockwaves through the community.

Ashutosh Shukla, a resident of Campierganj and a PRO at a finance company, was returning on his bike from Aurahiya-Adbarhwa road when two individuals on a bike intercepted him. Without any provocation, they physically attacked him and snatched a bag containing ₹65,000 in cash. Despite attempts by nearby residents to apprehend the culprits, they fled with the stolen money towards Muzuri, throwing away Shukla’s mobile phone in the process.

Shukla, shaken by the incident, initially returned to Campierganj but later returned to the scene to report the robbery to the police. Authorities, including several SIs and police personnel from Paniyara Police, promptly arrived to investigate the matter. Despite the delay in reporting the incident, police are actively examining CCTV footage from the area to identify and apprehend the suspects.

Inspector in-charge Nirbhay Singh assured that thorough investigations are underway and legal action will be taken against the perpetrators once they are identified. The incident has left the community deeply concerned about their safety.”
