Flight operations disrupts at IGI airport as visibility drops due to dense fog in Delhi-NCR

New Delhi: Visibility has deteriorated due to the dense fog cover in the atmosphere. Its effect is being seen on the flights operating from Delhi airport. Many flights have been affected by the fog. Dense fog has enveloped Delhi airport in the national capital, causing flights scheduled to depart from here to be cancelled for the time being.

According to sources, after speaking with people, it has been discovered that about a half-dozen flights are being delayed due to excessive fog, causing landing problems. According to the Airport Authority, the visibility procedure is ongoing at the airport, and flights are continuing as usual, but the passengers are constantly saying who is at the airport and saying that about dozen of flights are delayed.

According to sources, the visibility is down to 70 meters at the airport. Since this morning, 7 flights have been diverted and several others have been delayed. The departure from the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) is still slow, this is because only CAT III-equipped planes can operate in this weather.

The Airport Authority of India is yet to issue a fresh statement in this regard.
