Railway Budget 2023 Live: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the Railway Budget along with the General Budget in the Parliament for the financial year 2023-24. On the Rail Budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that a budget allocation of Rs 2.40 lakh crore has been made for the Railways. It is being told that this is the highest ever allocation. Nirmala Sitharaman told that it is 9 times more than the year 2013-14.

Along with the general budget, the eyes of the whole country always rest on the railway budget. Senior citizens are also hoping from this budget that they will get the same exemption in railways as before. However, some time ago the Railway Minister has made it clear that there is no plan to resume this exemption at present.

Railway Gets Highest Ever Outlay

This time in the rail budget, emphasis will also be on completing the incomplete projects and strengthening the infrastructure of the railway system. This budget may also focus on increasing the number of semi-high-speed Vande Bharat trains, hydrogen-powered trains as well as completing the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project. In the budget, the Indian Railways aims to seek permission from the central government to meet its target of replacing conventional coaches of all express and mail trains with Indian-made and German-developed LHB coaches.

The year 2023 is expected to be a game-changer for the Indian Railways, with the introduction of hydrogen-powered Vande Bharat trains, the sleeper coach version of Vande Bharat in 2023, after the success of the high-speed Vande Bharat Express trains, the best-in-class services With this, preparations are being made to make the experience of the passengers memorable.
