In a significant development, a fourth individual implicated in the Telangana phone-tapping controversy has been apprehended, marking another twist in the unfolding saga. P. Fourth Arrest Made in Telangana Phone-Tapping Scandal

Radhakrishna’s close ties to former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, or KCR, underscore the intricate web of connections involved in this scandal. At the heart of the affair lies T. Prabhakhar Rao, the former head of the Telangana Intelligence Bureau, who stands as the primary accused in this politically charged case, casting a shadow over the impending general elections in the state.

This scandal, which has sent shockwaves throughout Telangana, transcends mere political espionage, delving into allegations of blackmail involving not only political figures but also prominent personalities from the world of business and entertainment.

Congress leader N Uttam Kumar Reddy has pointed fingers at the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) administration, suggesting complicity at the highest levels. With Prabhakhar Rao currently abroad, investigators are anticipating his cooperation with the ongoing inquiry, bolstered by the issuance of a lookout circular to prevent his potential escape.

Sharvan Rao, another individual implicated in the affair, is believed to have facilitated the installation of sophisticated Israeli-made surveillance equipment within the premises of a local educational institution, adding another layer of complexity to the unfolding narrative.

Additionally, the involvement of Radha Kishan Rao, a former member of the city task force, further muddies the waters, with authorities issuing a lookout notice for his apprehension.

As investigations intensify, several other law enforcement officers find themselves under scrutiny, with recent arrests revealing the extent of the illicit surveillance operation. The confession of Additional Superintendents of Police Bhujanga Rao and Thirupathanna, along with Deputy SP Praneeth Rao, has shed light on the clandestine monitoring of private individuals and the subsequent destruction of evidence.

The list of targets reportedly encompasses a broad spectrum of individuals, including Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, as well as members from both the BJP and Congress, in addition to those affiliated with KCR’s party. With over one lakh intercepted phone calls, the scale of the operation underscores the magnitude of the scandal gripping Telangana.
