In yet another heart wrenching incident came to fore where a woman allegedly killed her husband and mother-in-law in connivance with her lover and friend in Assam, then chopped the bodies into pieces, stuffed them in polythene, took them to Meghalaya and dumped them in a ditch.

Guwahati: In Assam, a woman allegedly killed her husband and mother-in-law along with her lover and friend, then chopped the bodies into pieces, packed them in polythene, took them to Meghalaya and dumped them in a ditch. The police gave this information on Monday. He said the murders took place in August-September last year and only a few parts of the body of the woman’s mother-in-law could be recovered from Meghalaya on Sunday.

Guwahati Police Commissioner Digant Barah told sources, “The murders were committed about seven months ago. We have arrested all the three accused and they are being interrogated.”

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Digant Kumar Chowdhary said that the wife had lodged a missing complaint in September about her husband and mother-in-law, following which an investigation was launched. He said that the husband and mother-in-law have been identified as Amarendra De and Shankari De. Chaudhary told sources, “After some time Amarendra’s cousin lodged another missing complaint, which raised suspicion on the wife.”

The accused Bondona Kalita had killed her husband Amarendra De and mother-in-law Shankari De with the help of her boyfriend Dhanjit Deka and his friend Arup Das. According to police sources, after killing the woman’s husband and mother-in-law, these people cut them into pieces.

Then kept them in the fridge for three days and took them by car to the neighboring state of Meghalaya. Here he was thrown into a deep ditch at two different places so that no one could identify him. Police officials said that the body parts of the woman’s mother-in-law have been recovered. Now the body of her husband is being searched. This search is being done on the basis of the clues received from the three accused.

The accomplices of Bondona Kalita, who helped her in committing the murder have been reportedly identified as Arup Deka and Dhanjit Deka. They helped in killing the two and later in disposing off the bodies.
