Haryana factory blast: Over 50 employees injured in major boiler blast in Rewari

Rewari/Haryana: In a tragic incident on Saturday, a boiler explosion ravages auto spare parts manufacturing factory in Rewari, Haryana, resulted in 50 factory workers sustaining burn injuries, triggering a swift response from emergency services and local authorities. This industrial accident not only raises questions about workplace safety standards but also the impact on the surrounding community, as nearby residences suffered damage due to the explosion’s force.

The occurrence occurred at around 5.50 pm when a boiler burst in the dust collector at Life Long Company in Dharuhera, a big Industrial hub in Rewari District.

According to a senior doctor, ambulances have been swiftly rushed to the site of the accident and the hospitals in the vicinity have been alerted. One of the injured people is in a serious condition and has been referred to Rohtak. He further said that several people have sustained burn injuries due to the explosion.

Of those injured, 23 are undergoing treatment at the local hospital and their condition is currently stable, the senior doctor added.

Speaking to sources, Civil Surgeon Surender Yadav said, “A boiler has exploded in a factory in Dharuhera, Rewari. We have alerted the hospitals. We have sent the ambulance to the factory. Several people have burn injuries. Around 40 people are injured and there is one serious patient who has been referred to Rohtak.”

“We received info that a boiler exploded at a factory in Dharuhera. The injured have been admitted to the trauma centre in Rewari. Those who are in serious condition are being referred to Rohtak. No casualty has been reported,” Vijendra, SHO Dharuhera, Rewari told the news agency.
