Heavy rains also occurred in Thane and Palghar districts of Maharashtra on Saturday. There water was filled in many low-lying areas. Many areas of Bhiwandi, Kalyan and Badlapur in Thane district were submerged. People had to wade through knee-deep water in the evening. Officials told that many areas in Thane city have been flooded. However, there is no news of any casualty.

The balcony of an old two-storey factory building collapsed at around 9.45 pm in Vasai town of Palghar district. No one has been injured. According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, during the next two days, the southwest monsoon can reach parts of Chhattisgarh, rest of Jharkhand, some more parts of Bihar, East Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and parts of Uttarakhand. . Apart from this, Monsoon is likely to advance over Maharashtra, Karnataka and Telangana during the next three to four days.
