Shimla: An official said that a massive fire broke out at a cosmetics factory in Solan of Himachal Pradesh. In this incident, one woman was dead and 31 were injured. After receiving information about this incident police and local people reached on the spot.

A fire broke out at NR Aromas Factory in Baddi area of ​​Solan on Friday, which has been controlled yet. On Saturday, Deputy Commissioner Solan, Manmohan Sharma told media that at the time of the incident, about 50 people were in the building, of them some ran to their homes while 13 are still feared missing.

He said a magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the incident and the fire has not been brought under control yet as inflammable substances used in the manufacturing of perfumes and other cosmetics are igniting.

Police said a case of negligence has been registered and investigation is underway. NDRF, SDRF, police, revenue and other teams are engaged in the operation.

Sharma said,”People jumped from the first and the second floor of the building to save their lives and sustained multiple injuries on hands, legs and even spine.” He added that the reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained and a forensic team is on the job.

Giving details about this incident,Eyewitnesses said firefighting operations were hampered by thick smoke emanating from the cosmetic material and workers climbed to the top of the building for safety.
