Himachal Pradesh : 7 people killed and 3 missing after cloudburst in Solan district

New Delhi: Cloudburst has once again caused devastation in Himachal Pradesh. This time Seven people have died due to cloudburst in Jadon village of Kandaghat sub-division located in Solan of the state, while three people are missing. At the same time five people have been saved.

New Delhi: Cloudburst has once again caused devastation in Himachal Pradesh. This time seven people have died due to cloudburst in Jadon village of Kandaghat sub-division located in Solan of the state. while three people are missing. At the same time five people have been saved.

Pictures after the cloudburst have also come to the fore, in which it is visible that the entire village is covered with debris and a scene of devastation is visible everywhere. Two houses and a cowshed have also been washed away in this incident of cloudburst.

Giving more information about this, SDM of Kandaghat in Solan, Siddharth Acharya said, ‘An incident of cloudburst has come to light in Jadaun village of Kandaghat sub-division in Solan. In which five people have died, three people are missing, while five people have been rescued safely.’

Rain continues to wreak havoc in Uttarakhand as well. In view of the Meteorological Department warning, schools up to 12th standard have been ordered to be closed in Dehradun. Police administration and SDRF are in alert mode in Uttarakhand. An appeal has been made to the families living on the banks of many rivers and drains to move to safer places. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in Uttarakhand till August 15.

An appeal was made at night in Maldevta, Shanti Vihar, Sapera Basti, Tapovan areas of Raipur police station area of ​​Dehradun. Meanwhile, the problem of water logging persists in many areas of Dehradun. Relief and rescue teams are continuously engaged in evacuating people.

Due to continuous heavy rains in Chamoli district, many vehicles have been buried under the debris from the mountain in Mayapur on the Badrinath Highway. DM Chamoli Himanshu Khurana told that vehicles have been buried under the debris but there is no information about any casualty so far.

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for 6 districts Dehradun, Pauri, Champawat, Tehri, Nainital, Udhamsinghnagar, while a yellow alert has been issued in some districts including Haridwar. In Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places. Road and rail services have also been affected due to rain.
