New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department forecast predicts in Karnataka, Kerala, North Assam, Tripura, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand may experience light rain with hail today. Apart from this, the department has issued a heavy rain warning in West UP and Purvanchal. According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, strong winds are expected to blow with such rain till April 3. Many parts of North India, including Delhi, received heavy rain on Thursday (March 30) evening, due to which the temperature has dropped slightly.
The Meteorological Department has warned that there may be rain in Rajasthan’s Kotputli, Alwar, Laxmangarh, Rajgarh, Nadbai, Bharatpur for the next 2 hours. Besides Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar, Ballabgarh) Rohtak, Kharkhoda, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Matanhel, Jhajjar, Farrukhnagar, Kosli, Mahendragarh, Sohana, Rewari, Palwal, Narnaul, Rain is expected in Bawal, Nuh too. The department has also predicted rain with lightning in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab.
The Meteorological Department has issued yellow and orange alerts in some districts of UP due to heavy rains on March 31 today and April 1 tomorrow. The department has restored electricity and electricity in Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar in UP. There is a possibility of rain with strong wind (30-40 kmph).
Orange Alert has been issued for 27 districts of UP. The department has taken up Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit. There is a possibility of hailstorm with heavy rains in Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun and surrounding areas.
