IMD: Heavy rainfall over Northeast India for next 3 days; Orange alert for Uttar Pradesh, Bihar

Weather Update Today: There is no possibility of rain in Delhi-NCR today. IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura today has expressed. New Delhi: Heavy rains have been lashing most parts of the country since the onset of monsoon. The sky will be generally cloudy in Delhi-NCR today but there is no possibility of rain. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), today the maximum temperature in Delhi can be 35 degree Celsius. On August 7, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 34.5 degree Celsius. According to IMD, on August 8, heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur at isolated places over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. In view of the possibility of heavy rains in these states, Orange Alert has been issued today.

IMD has predicted heavy rains at isolated places in Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh today.

While lightning and thundershowers very likely at many places over Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal . According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rains at some places in Uttarakhand during August 8 to 10. Whereas till August 9, there may be very heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh.

According to IMD, today, 45-55 km in Southwest, Central and North Arabian Sea, Gujarat coasts as well as Comorin area. From per hour to 65 km. There is a possibility of wind blowing at a high speed per hour. 40-45 km above the Bay of Central and North Bengal. From per hour to 55 km. There can be stormy weather with strong wind up to hourly. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into these areas.

According to the IMD’s Weather Bulletin, a cyclonic circulation has formed over North Bangladesh at the lower tropospheric level. At the same time, the Monsoon Trough is present in the north of its normal position. It is very likely to move north of its normal position or over foothills of Himalayas during next 4-5 days. At the same time, a Western Disturbance in the form of a trough in the mid-tropospheric westerly winds is also expected to be active over North India in the coming days.
