New Delhi: The weather in India is taking a new turn every day. In many cities, people are facing the humid heat, while at the same time, there has been devastation due to rain in many places. In Himachal, Uttarakhand and Gujarat, flood and landslide like situation is being witnessed at some places. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a ‘red’ alert in several districts of Mumbai till July 26.
‘Red’ alert in several districts of Mumbai
The India Meteorological Department on July 25 (Tuesday) has issued a ‘red’ alert in Raigad, Pune, Satara and Ratnagiri districts for July 26. At the same time, apart from this, the Meteorological Department has issued ‘Orange’ alert in Mumbai, Palghar and Thane. Also, the IMD said that very heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue over the west coast till July 26 and over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh during July 25-27.
Heavy rain forecast in these states
The IMD further predicted heavy to very heavy rain over East Central India during July 26-27, while heavy to very heavy rain is expected over Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, North Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh during July 25-27 and the same is expected over East India between July 28 and 30.
According to the IMD, the weather forecast for various regions of India from July 25 to 29 is light to moderate and heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places.
