IMD issues red alert in these states including Maharashtra, humid heat to haunt Delhi-NCR today

New Delhi: In Delhi-NCR today, the sky will be generally cloudy and light rain or drizzle may occur. IMD has also predicted heavy rain at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Punjab, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh.

New Delhi: Today in Delhi-NCR, the sky will be generally cloudy and light rain or drizzle may occur. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be around 37 degree Celsius on July 23. On July 22, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 37.6 degree Celsius, which was 3 degree Celsius above normal.

IMD has predicted very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and South Interior Karnataka today. In view of heavy rains, Red Alert has been issued in Gujarat, Goa and Maharashtra today, while Orange Alert has been issued in Karnataka.

IMD has predicted heavy rain at isolated places over Punjab, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Marathwada,Uttarakhand, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana, Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka and Ghats region of Tamil Nadu today.

According to IMD today, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Marathwada, Gujarat State, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal It may rain with thunderstorms and lightning at different places.

According to IMD’s Weather Bulletin today, 40-45 km along Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, Maharashtra, South Gujarat Coasts, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam as well as South and Central Bay of Bengal and South Sri Lanka Coast. From per hour to 55 km. Stormy weather is expected with strong wind up to hourly. 45-55 km on Maharashtra coast. From speed per hour to 65 km. There can be stormy weather with strong wind up to hourly. While the Gulf of Mannar, along the south Tamil Nadu coast as well as 45-55 km over the southwest and central Arabian Sea. Wind can blow at a high speed per hour, which increases to 65 km. can reach per hour.
