IMD issues warning of heavy rain in these states for the next 5 days

New Delhi:Monsoon has fully arrived in India. It is raining so much in some places that a flood-like situation has arisen there. Meanwhile, an alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department regarding the rains to occur in various states during the next five days. The Meteorological Department says that there will be heavy rains in Konkan, Goa and Gujarat after July 7.

New Delhi:Monsoon has fully arrived in India. It is raining so much in some places that a flood-like situation has arisen there. Meanwhile, an alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department regarding the rains to occur in various states during the next five days.

The Meteorological Department says that there will be heavy rains in Konkan, Goa and Gujarat after July 7. It was said that on July 7 and 8, there may be heavy to very heavy rains in the state of South India. It is likely to decrease from July 9. A red alert has also been issued for Goa. Along with this, the disaster management also announced the helpline number for the people.

The Meteorological Department has clarified that there may be heavy to very heavy rains in the Ghat areas of Konkan Goa, Madhya Maharashtra for the next three days. On the same lines, there will be heavy rains in Gujarat of western India for the next five days. A warning of heavy rain has been issued by the Meteorological Department in the areas of western Uttar Pradesh. From today itself, there may be heavy rains for the next few days. Heavy rains will continue on the same pattern for the next five days in Uttarakhand and East Rajasthan.

An alert has been issued for heavy rains in central India for the next two days. For the north-eastern states of India, the Meteorological Department said that there will be very heavy rains in the Himalayan region of West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland for the next five days. It was told that it will rain in Bihar and Odisha for the next five days.

Kerala in South India received so much rain today that the state government even declared a holiday for schools in many districts. According to the report, due to rain and strong wind, trees were uprooted at many places, due to which even the houses of many people were damaged. It was told that due to the rise in the water level of the river, the houses built on the banks were washed away in the flow of water. Such people have been sent to relief camps.

The Meteorological Department had already declared red alert in all the two districts of Goa due to heavy rains. Today, incidents of water-logging in low-lying areas came to the fore. Due to the flood-like situation here, two separate helpline numbers have also been issued for Goa’s disaster management help.
