IMD issues warning of rain with thunder in 65 districts of UP for 3 days

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in most parts of the state including the Terai belt from Monday and the capital from Tuesday. A warning has been issued for moderate to heavy rain with thunder and lightning in 65 districts of the state till Wednesday.

Lucknow: It rained heavily in the capital on Sunday. At the same time, light rain with drizzle was recorded in different areas. Moderate to heavy rain was recorded in many parts of the state. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in most parts of the state including the Terai belt from Monday and the capital from Tuesday. A warning has been issued for moderate to heavy rain with thunder and lightning in 65 districts of the state till Wednesday.

According to Mohammad Danish, Senior Scientist of Zonal Science Center, the low pressure area i.e. trough line is currently active from Jodhpur to Daltonganj, Sonbhadra towards the Bay of Bengal. Apart from this, an active cyclonic circulation from Central Rajasthan is giving heavy to very heavy rains over West Uttar Pradesh and many areas around Delhi.

Heavy to very heavy rain is expected in many districts of Uttar Pradesh adjoining Terai belt and Nepal from Monday. At the same time, there are chances of moderate to heavy and heavy to very heavy rains with warning of strong wind and lightning in many parts of the state from Tuesday. This round of rain will continue throughout the week in the state.

Orange alert has been issued for heavy to very heavy rain in the adjoining areas of Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad on Monday. Under this, there is a need to take necessary steps against the damage caused by the rains. Same Banda, Chitrakoot, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahar, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badayun, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur. An alert has been issued for heavy rain in the areas. There is a need to be alert for the damage caused by rain.

Orange alert has been issued for heavy to very heavy rainfall in the adjoining districts of Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Rampur, Bareilly and Pilibhit on July 11 (Tuesday). Apart from this, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Gonda, Sitapur, Hardoi, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal and Badaun have been forecast for heavy rain. Yellow alert has been issued in the areas.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, a warning has been issued for heavy to very heavy rains in different parts of the state including the Terai belt. Light to moderate rain may occur over Lucknow and adjoining areas with movement of clouds. The maximum temperature can be recorded around 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature can be around 27 degrees Celsius.
