New Delhi. The Meteorological Department says that a cyclonic storm has prevailed in the Bay of Bengal, due to which heavy rains are expected in a total of 12 states. Heavy rain alert has been issued in some areas of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha. In Telangana, people have been advised not to leave their homes unnecessarily for the next three days.
Rain alert has also been issued in the hilly areas of North India, due to which the water level of the Yamuna river in Delhi has remained above the danger mark. The river Ganga is also in spate at this time. This is the reason why there is a danger of flood in many areas of Uttar Pradesh.
Due to heavy rains in Mumbai, life remained busy on Monday. The Meteorological Department has issued an Orange Alert for Tuesday. The Meteorological Department says that a cyclonic storm is brewing in the Bay of Bengal. It is built over the Bay of West Central and adjoining northwest Bengal. This storm is 5.8 to 7.6 km above sea level, due to which a low pressure area is expected to form here in 24 hours.
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in different parts of Telangana, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat and Coastal Karnataka. There can be a total of 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm of rain here.
According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm is expected in Himachal Pradesh, eastern parts of Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Marathwada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Telangana, Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Heavy rains may also occur in some of these parts.
According to the report, the water level of Yamuna river in Delhi has been recorded at 205.45 meters on Tuesday morning. This is more than a danger sign. About 10 days ago, people in Delhi faced flood-like conditions. Once again there is a danger of flood in the capital. The water level of Ganga is increasing continuously in Haridwar.
Both these rivers later cover most of the parts of Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of drowning in many areas of Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, Hindon, a tributary of Yamuna, is also wreaking havoc on the mountains due to excessive rains. Many areas of Noida, Ghaziabad have been evacuated due to this.
