IMD predicts rain occur in 24 states today, heatwave alert in these places

New Delhi: IMD has predicted rain in 24 states of the country today and heat wave in 6 states. On June 6, there is a possibility of heavy rain at many places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. According to IMD, there will be light to heavy rain or drizzle in the adjoining areas of Kasganj, Ganjdundwara, Etah and Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh today.

New Delhi: IMD has predicted rain in 24 states of the country today and heat wave in 6 states. On June 6, there is a possibility of heavy rain at many places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. According to IMD, there will be light to heavy rain or drizzle in the adjoining areas of Kasganj, Ganjdundwara, Etah and Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh today.

The weather may be hot in Delhi-NCR today. The sky will be generally clear. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to reach 39 degree Celsius on June 6. On June 5, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 37.8°C, which was 2°C less than normal.

According to IMD today Odisha, West Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe Lakshadweep, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Thunderstorm, lightning and thundershowers very likely at many places over Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.

The speed of the storm is 40-50 km. From 30-40 km per hour. Likely to last for an hour. IMD has expressed the possibility of severe heat wave in different areas of Bihar today. Along with this, heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in isolated parts of Northeast Jharkhand, West Bengal and Sikkim, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Telangana. IMD has also issued Orange Alert regarding heatwave in Bihar, West Bengal and Sikkim.

According to IMD, today over southeast and adjoining southwest Arabian Sea, along and off Kerala-Karnataka-Goa coasts, central parts of Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep-Maldives, Andaman Sea, south and east-central Bay of Bengal There is a possibility of stormy weather (wind speed 40-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph).

Strong wind (speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph) very likely over Northeast Arabian Sea, along and off North Gujarat Coast, Gulf of Mannar and adjoining Comorin area. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into these areas.
