India’s 3rd Lunar mission Chandrayaan-3 successfully lifts off, aims to reach moon in 40 days

Sriharikota: India has taken another big leap in space today. Today ISRO has launched Chandrayaan-3, its third mission to the Moon. Chandrayaan-3 has been launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. The GSLV Mark-3 rocket, called the Fat Boy of ISRO, is taking Chandrayaan into space. Chandrayaan-3 will land on the lunar surface exactly 41 days from today, between August 24 and 25, circling first in Earth’s orbit and then in Moon’s orbit. More than a thousand ISRO scientists have worked in the Chandrayaan-3 mission. It has a propulsion module.

Along with this, it also has Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover. The goal of Chandrayaan-3 mission is to make a soft landing on the moon. ISRO is trying to collect many important information related to the moon with the help of Chandrayaan-3 mission. Chandrayaan-3 will reach the moon after traveling 3.80 lakh km in 40 days. Earlier in 2019, India launched Chandrayaan-2, which could not make a successful landing on the lunar surface due to some glitch.

Chandrayaan-3 is going to the moon with a lander, a rover and a propulsion module. Its total weight is around 3,900 kg. ISRO chief S Somnath was seen monitoring the launch of Chandrayaan-3 moon mission in Sriharikota.

The eyes of the whole world on India’s Chandrayaan-3
The eyes of the whole world are focused on this mission of Indian scientists. This is the second attempt by Indian scientists to land on the lunar surface. If India succeeds in landing on the surface of the moon, then it will become the fourth country in the world after America, Russia and China to achieve this success. It will also become the first country to land on the Moon’s South Pole. This is the same area where Chandrayaan-2’s lander Vikram crashed just a short distance from the lunar surface. That’s why today the eyes of the whole world are fixed on us.

Chandrayaan-3 is also ready for crash landing
This time, taking lessons from the previous crash landing, ISRO scientists have made many changes in it. New sensors have been installed in the lander in many ways. Its weight is also around 250 kg. The lander’s legs are stronger than ever. That’s why it is expected that India will definitely be successful in hoisting the tricolor on the surface of the moon.

Bahubali rocket carrying Chandrayaan-3 to the moon
Upgraded Bahubali rocket ie Launch Vehicle Mark-3 is being used to take Chandrayaan-3 into space. Within 17 minutes of launch, Chandrayaan will reach the Earth’s orbit, from where it will go around the Earth and leave for the Moon. From there its examination will start. After this, the biggest test will be on the night of 24 August when it will land on the moon.
