Visakhapatnam: In yet another tragic incident, IndiGo airlines did not load the check-in luggage of around 50 passengers who boarded a domestic flight on Thursday. It was the passengers who travelled from Hyderabad to Visakhapatnam on Flight no 6E 409 who fell victim to the mix-up. IndiGo’s ground staff were clueless about the missing baggage until the passengers began complaining.
Subsequently, after the mix-up was confirmed after an hour-long wait, the passengers were promised home delivery of the bags. Their details were gathered by the airline via forms to make the door-delivery possible.
“We confirm that 37 bags were inadvertently left behind for flight 6E 409 departing from Hyderabad to Vishakhapatnam. We are ensuring that all bags are delivered safely to the customers’ addresses in Visakhapatnam. We regret the inconvenience caused to the passengers,” a statement by the airlines said.
