New Delhi: Delhi Capitals defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets in the 50th match of IPL at Delhi’s home ground. Batting first, Bangalore scored 181 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. In response, Delhi Capitals scored the required runs for the loss of three wickets. The hero of this victory was Phil Salt who scored 87 runs in 45 balls. This includes 8 fours and 6 sixes. Apart from these, Riley Russo scored an unbeaten 35 and hit the winning six.

The team of Royal Challengers Bangalore, who came out to bat first, scored 181 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Mahipal Lomror and Virat Kohli scored half-centuries for Bangalore. Kohli scored 55 runs and Lomror played innings of 54 runs. Apart from this, Faf du Plessis played a blistering inning of 45 runs. Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli had scored 50 runs in the first 5.5 overs. Mitchell Marsh took the most two wickets for Delhi.

Virat Kohli holds another IPL record at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. Virat Kohli has completed 7000 runs in IPL and he is the only batsman to do so. Kohli achieved this special position as soon as he scored his 12th run in the match being played against Delhi Capitals. Please tell that the record of scoring the most runs in this league is recorded in the name of Virat. Kohli also became the first batsman to score 6,000 runs in the Indian Premier League.
