New Delhi: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has been taken into custody by the police in the capital Delhi. Mehbooba Mufti was demonstrating in the capital Delhi on Wednesday regarding the anti-encroachment campaign being run in Jammu and Kashmir. He was taken into custody during the demonstration.
She wanted to inform the opposition parties about the bulldozer policy of the Jammu and Kashmir administration. Delhi Police took the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and the workers into custody. After this he was taken to Jantar Mantar.
Bulldozer running in Jammu and Kashmir
These days bulldozers are roaring in Jammu and Kashmir, action is being taken against illegal encroachments in the valley. The protest of the local people against the removal of encroachment is going on. Meanwhile, opposition leaders are constantly targeting the Jammu and Kashmir administration and the central government in this matter.
Earlier, Mehbooba Mufti had written a letter to Chief Justice DY Chandrachud on this issue. He had said in the letter that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are being brutalized and their fundamental rights are being violated, but no cognizance was taken from the judiciary.
‘Gunda Raj’ in Jammu and Kashmir
Mehbooba Mufti, demonstrating in the capital Delhi, said that there is ‘goonda raj’ in Jammu and Kashmir. Mehbooba Mufti said that Jammu and Kashmir is being destroyed like Afghanistan.
Mehbooba Mufti had also talked to the media a day before. During this, he had targeted the center fiercely. Mufti had said that our livelihood is being snatched in the name of anti-encroachment campaign. We also have our own agencies of the state. Now the competition is going on in the central and state agencies. Bulldozers would not have gone anywhere in such numbers as are going to Kashmir. Thousands of acres of land were given to wrong people in Jammu and Kashmir and people are being evicted from their homes in the name of anti-encroachment drive.
Anti-encroachment campaign being run in the districts
Anti-encroachment campaign is being conducted in 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The so-called Govt. Bulldozers have been run on many buildings so far to free the land. Demonstration of local people is also going on regarding this. On this, People’s Conference President Sajjad Lone had said on Tuesday – bulldozers are being run at people’s homes seeing religion in this campaign. 90-95% of the people on whom action has been taken are Muslims.
