JEE aspirant Piyush Kapasia from UP goes missing in Kota, 3rd case in a week

As per the father of the student, on February 13 he spoke to his family last, and did not answered any call from the family members, and his phone was later switched off. Following the incident, the police have filed a missing complaint made by Piyush’s parents and efforts are on to trace him.

Kota/Rajasthan: In a a chilling pattern emerges as students vanish from Kota, Rajasthan, a JEE aspirant has gone missing from the coaching hub of the country. Piyush Kapasia, a native of Uttar Pradesh who was preparing for the JEE entrance exam in the city, has been missing since February 13. The student was preparing for the esteemed national-level entrance exam in the city for the past two years, and was staying in a hostel in the Indra Vihar area of the city.

As per the father of the student, on February 13 he spoke to his family last, and did not answered any call from the family members, and his phone was later switched off. Following the incident, the police have filed a missing complaint made by Piyush’s parents and efforts are on to trace him.

Sources said, his last known whereabouts were found to be at Kota Junction Railway Station, where he had left his bag, a move that surprised many. In the CCTV footage, he is seen leaving his two bags and walking out of the station. Piyush had come to Kota two years ago to prepare for the JEE engineering competitive examination, his father said. He said that the police have registered a missing case but have not been able to trace him yet.

Piyush, who recently faced disappointment with a 13 per cent score in the JEE Main exam, has joined the list of students missing under mysterious circumstances. Right after his disappearance, Rachit Sondhya, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, was last seen going into the dense forest near Garadia Mahadev Temple, which has been troubling his loved ones.

Surprisingly, Rachit was seen entering a forest area near Garadiya Mahadev temple, as per a CCTV footage, and later his belongings like bag and keys were confiscated from the area, as per the police. The police have also deployed drones in the dense forest to trace Rachit.

While four students have committed suicide in Kota in this year by far, two students have succumbed to their deteriorating health while undergoing treatment in hospital. Earlier on Sunday, a 21-year-old student from UP’s Aligarh who was preparing for the NEET exam in Kota lost his life to a severely deteriorating health condition. The student was preparing for the exam in Kota for the past three years and was struggling with high bloog sugar and blood pressure levels from the last six months.
