Jharkhand: A heart-wrenching incident happened in Jharkhand. Police said that a class 11 student, who went missing last week, was found dead in a well in Hazaribag district of Jharkhand on Friday. They said that he was a student of a well-known English-medium school.
They added that he was allegedly murdered by his classmates over some disputes and the body was dumped in the well in the Ichak area of Hazaribag district. The student had left home on January 6 in the company of some classmates to solve the ongoing disagreement but did not return.
The officer-in-charge of the Korra police station Nishi Kumari said that the parents reported their child missing, following which they initiated an investigation. His parents lodged a missing person’s complaint with the police, following which an investigation was started.
Police said that the body was found after six days in the well, and his parents identified it. While it is suspected that the cause of death was strangulation, the exact details will be revealed after a thorough post-mortem examination.
They added that the body was dumped in the well to mislead the investigation. Police said two of his classmates have been arrested in connection with the murder and a search is on for other students involved. The police are working to find out the motives behind the incident and catch the culprits.
