Jharkhand: In a tragic and horrific incident, a man in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district allegedly axed his wife and two young daughters to death. The motive behind the brutal act was reportedly the man’s drinking habit, which had been a source of frequent arguments between the couple. The accused, identified as Gurucharan Padiya, was arrested following the grisly crime.
The disturbing incident unfolded in Ludrabasa village under Muffasil police station on the night between Monday and Tuesday. Gurucharan Padiya and his wife Jano had been embroiled in frequent quarrels, mainly stemming from Padiya’s alcohol consumption. The tension in their relationship had reached a boiling point due to these repeated arguments.
Around 2:30 am on Tuesday, a heated altercation erupted between Padiya and Jano over an unspecified issue. Reports suggest that in a fit of rage, Padiya grabbed an axe and mercilessly attacked his wife and their two daughters, aged 5 years and 1 year. The violent act resulted in the tragic deaths of all three family members.
The gruesome crime shocked the residents of Ludrabasa village. Following the incident, the police were alerted and swiftly arrived at the scene. Padiya, who was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the killings, was apprehended by law enforcement officers.
The bodies of Jano and her two young daughters were sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause and manner of their deaths.
Gurucharan Padiya, now in police custody, will face legal proceedings for the alleged murder of his wife and daughters.
